Adsense Good or Bad?

I’ve got typically pondered this question ?
Here are my own basic thoughts on the complex subject.
Most websites I visit have some kind of adsense system running; I’d estimate that some of these are creating sensible money from the Google system. Certainly sites with over a thousand guests per day should receive a small quantity of revenue.
Typically I feel the adsense system could be a good one, however like most things nowadays the adsense system has been misused by people who fully perceive how search engines work; unfortunately these individuals have already created their money. These people have used several tactics within the past to boost their sites page ranking, so ensuring more visitors, more guests means that a lot of revenue from the system. These sites are typically kept open for some months and then closed down, with the next one instantly opened up. This practice has been going on for years. The sites are even sold daily on EBay; I would imagine they’re just regarding to be banned.
What normally happens when a few people misuse a system is it results in others suffering, and in this case it’s happened. Google is sandboxing new sites for longer. Saying this company had to act, they need now introduced the ‘Huge Daddy’ update. This update has affected sites that have large numbers of irrelevant links or various irrelevant web pages. Sadly it’s also affected the ranking of genuine businesses; hopefully this is often just a brief blip. My own opinion is the internet should be a level enjoying field for everybody; but I somehow doubt it ever can be.
I believe there is an area for adsense on most sites as long as it’s discrete, well set up and will not look out of place, (fonts, colours etc), The most thing to consider is what do you wish from your visitors. Most sites supply a product to potential customers. This causes the dilemma of balancing potential revenue from adsense against losing a possible customer, what I mean by this can be, a visitor may be curious about your site, however you’ll lose them instantly to Google. This is why in my opinion is that if your site includes a product you are selling, you should never use adsense on your homepage.
In conclusion I like the system, it’s straightforward to line up and user friendly. I hope Google manage to filter out the unethical part who in the end can only spoil things for everyone.
