I believe there is an area for adsense on most sites as long as it’s discrete, well set up and will not look out of place, (fonts, colours etc), The most thing to consider is what do you wish from your visitors. Most sites supply a product to potential customers. This causes the dilemma of balancing potential revenue from adsense against losing a possible customer, what I mean by this can be, a visitor may be curious about your site, however you’ll lose them instantly to Google. This is why in my opinion is that if your site includes a product you are selling, you should never use adsense on your homepage.
In conclusion I like the system, it’s straightforward to line up and user friendly. I hope Google manage to filter out the unethical part who in the end can only spoil things for everyone.
